Re: MOM Rail Service

WIth Christie about to take office in January, will he approach handling the political machine in Middlesex County differently than Corzine on this issue and will he give the clout to NJT get this done (i.e., use eminent domain if need be), regardless of the opposition in Middlesex County? and do th...

Re: The Raritan Valley Line Thread…

I agree that an airport shuttle bus is a good idea, as it would save riders a bit of time from having to double back from Newark Penn. But you could run it from the existing Union station, and not have to build what really would amounts to a all new station. As it stands, Union station is close eno...

Re: The Raritan Valley Line Thread…

I saw the map that a poster on another thread posted and there is one station I would like to see restored, it probably won't happen though, but I would like to see the Hillside station restored for the simple reason that when people go to Newark Liberty Airport, people on the RVL don't have to chan...

Re: MOM Rail Service

I had asked this a while back and I think it needs to be asked again.

With the passing of Middlesex Freeholder Director, David Crabiel, back in December, will this have a much better chance of getting done through Middlesex than in the past when Crabiel was the main opposition to the MOM project?

Re: 2009 predictions

Here's some predictions for 2009 that I can see happening. 1. THE tunnel construction finally gets underway, likely in the 1st quarter of the year, but no later than Easter. 2. We'll hear some news on West Trenton and where that's going. 3. MOM has maybe the best opportunity in years to finally sett...

Re: NJ-ARP: Sops don't buy time.

Build the Red Bank route first and, in NJ-ARP's very considered view, MOM won't get built. Period. Quick, cheap, and dirty: that's the Red Bank option, and that's even before that option smacks up against its own very real anti-rail sentiment. For the champions of the "Red Bank" route, and the non-...

Re: MOM Rail Service

I hear ya. ARC is getting all the dough while everything else in on the back burner. Hopefully, this will be an opportunity to get Middlesex on board with the proposed MOM Line and the Monmouth Junction route passed.

Re: MOM Rail Service

First off, I want to say my condolences go out to the family of David Crabiel, Middlesex County Director of Freeholders, who just a few days ago, passed away at the age of 78. That out of the way, the questions I have would be with regards to the MOM, now that Crabiel is no longer with us, sadly I m...
