That line of the older coil cars out behind the RIP track is being scrapped this week. When I pulled up on friday they had a big metal pincher thing cutting them up and loading up semis.
Besides the coil cars there are (4) 85 foot piggyback flats in full South Shore Line paint. Get your pics while you can!

Kinda surprised the piggyback flats lasted this long.

Did they ever see any actual use?

I've never actually seen them out on the road anywhere, just once or twice when we brought them into the rip track. I don't think they have any hitches on them either, maybe they were only MOW cars?
