Retracing Abandoned Railroads in Upper Dutchess County

A couple of questions

• (1) Anyone know anything about the buildings I photographed next to the Roeliff Jansen Kill Bridge?

• (2) I was very perplexed about the abandoned ROW east of Rt 82 - didn't seem to mesh with all the historical maps I refer to. Did perhaps the road and the Newburgh, Dutchess and Connecticut switch places at some point along RT 82? (for instance the road may have been shifted to the abandoned ROW and the old road is what I saw...?).

I think I know where you are referring to. There is a path (old road, driveway, etc) that goes off to the northeast, but it is not rail related. The ND&C crossed 82 about 6 miles south of Railroad Avenue.

After studying a few different maps, this looks like an old road heading northeast

But this one perplexed me. It runs parallel to Rt 82 on the east for a good distance
