I've driven I-74 west to Galesburg, Illinois, three times in the last week and a half. I've passed maybe eight or nine rapid transit cars heading east between Galesburg and Bloomington-Normal. The cars, on their wheels, are loaded on flatbed trucks and completely covered in tarps. They don't seem to be enormously long; shorter and narrower, for example, than the BART cars I saw on the highway in Ohio and Utah in 2023ish.

Does anyone know whose cars these are and where they are going?
