Solvay is unseen from I-80 west of Green River, the branch crosses over the interstate with the soda ash plant being on the south side and the lower yard to the north about a half mile from the mainline. Contractors there use to have some SD 9's i think they might have a couple SD 40's now. Been a long time sense i've been close enough to get a picture of there motors.

Heres a picture from that X-CNW as i pull up there branch.

Same night as the rest of the CNW pictures. East of Granger about 4 miles. After a trip around the wye, we tacked our motors on another train that needed spreading.

Looking east waiting for a light. Good public dirt road in the far left side in the picture to take in the scenery.

To the south from where we were waiting.

The Uinta's are the mountains you can see way off in the distance.

These pictures are from one night of dogcatching. The night ones were taken as i sat in the yard getting an air test. We drug one out, tied it down, then got on another one and yarded it.

View of the GR depot from the yard.

The old club house that sits to the east of the depot.

The engine tracks on the eastend of the pit.

Two RCL goats on the pit.

The eastend of the GR yard as i pull into a track.

RCL unit parked on the Rip Lead.

Still no luck in catching a daylight local to get some pictures on the contractors old motors.

Image

Here it is now on the eastend after they drug that rail out and set it over to another track. Not a very good picture eather.

Shoving up the branch at the eastend of Point of Rocks. Conductors in that mess somewhere lining the mainline switches back.

My conductor was nice enough to step out front and take this one as we shoved up the branch.
