Was passing by the Lehigh Line crossings in South Plainfield and Piscataway and see they have signs for the crossings to be closed for a while, is this for the installations to make the crossings quiet zones? As have seen signs out in front of houses on New Market road petitioning for this to be done. So maybe the non railfan neighbors finally got their way?

And was curious on the statistics for accidents at crossings for horn vs. no horn as sometimes go biking over Potters crossing and always see many car parts laying all around the side of the road!! Which is a quiet zone, but not lately, anyone know why?
