Railroad frequencies are in the very high frequency (VHF) band, between 160 and 162 MHz. (Sorry, I don't know what specific frequencies are used in Binghamton.)

Also for the NYSW try using 160.485 they use it up to Binghamton i think.

We're getting my dad a new one for his birthday. Any defect detectors on the tier? i know there's a hotbox ini West Endicott. What would be the freq. of that sort of thing?

NS detectors would be on the 160.800 Road channel.
