I would love to see some pics of those washouts or ANY photos of trains operating up there. guess it was a desolate location to acess back in the day. The grade was so stiff it took 4500hp FT's on the point and two 2-8-8-2's on the rear to take 60 -75 emties up it,and going down with 50 loads was a similar operation with a highly charged trainline.
