Here's a question for all, I wasn't sure where to post it. On the former Pennsy Marietta Branch between Cambridge and Byesville, is this strange looking Wall with a Gate. I've seen this type of thing in Brewster Ohio also, what is it?
Flood control gates which were part of an extensive flood control project by the Corps of Engineers c. 1920's - 1930's after the disastrous floods of the Tuscarawas and several other rivers. Dover Dam and Bolivar Dam were part of the project.
