I just saw a new pic of BLE 643 and it was no longer in the warehouse.

I am moving to Pittsburgh in a week and I was wondering if it is visible from public property? Also what is the blue ALCO that is always seen with it?

If you take note to the date, it says 11/19/2010. To my knowledge, that date hasn't happened here on Earth yet. I am guessing that it is a photo from 11/09 instead, as that seems to be about the time that the shed finally collapsed on her. I have never seen 643, nor tried, but I have seen elsewhere that it is 1. in a bad section of town, and 2. you have to blatantly trespass to see it. Like I said, this is all on line here-say, but I would say that it is probably accurate.

the 643's roundhouse has finally colasped, or the private owner torn it down... there is the 643, the alco switcher behind it, and a aux. water tender that is all coupled up and ready to go. also if you can see the 643 side pistons are off because western reserve model railroad museum are trying to take this beast back to ohio and trying to restore it for excursions see the web below... www.wrmrrm.org put the site ontop of the url bar and it should be the first site. half way down the page it will show you how we are trying to restore it.
