In view of the interest in Vulcan Tower, perhaps some of you might be interested in the other NYC Towers in the Toledo area:

Vickers (VK) Oakdale (OD) Fassett St. (FS) Wabash (WS)

Broadway (BY) Swan Creek (SK) Nasby (AV) Z (Z)

K (K) Alexis (N) Stanley (SA)


Switch Tenders were located at the East and West Ends of the old Psgr Stn.

Wagon Works Jct. was staffed by Operators but was not an Interlocking.

Rockwell Jct. had no Operators and was not an Interlocking.

NYC Yards besides Air Line Jct. and Stanley, there were:

Whitmore Yd. (T&OC) Oakdale Yd. (LS&MS)

W. Toledo Yd. (LS&MS) N. Toledo Yd. (MC)

Piling Yd. (LS&MS) Hump Yd. (MC)


Perhaps some of you can add the facilities of the other Toledo railroads in order to get an all-time listing.

I think there was an interlocking tower at Gould, in South Toledo.

Yes, there was a tower at Gould; that was the junction of the Cloverleaf and the TTRR. The wide, flat area to the west of Glanzman Rd. was the interchange yard, don't know it's name. My dad worked at Gould in the late 40s. I've found pictures of almost every tower on the TT from Bob Lorenz except Gould & Tower K, anybody got any ideas where I might find them?
