Hey guys, a little exciting news from my hometown of Uniontown, Pa and surrounding areas.
The SWP shortline, owned by Carload Express operates in town. And Fay Penn Economic has just said that the railroad will get 1 million dollars to rehab and build some lines near the Fayette Business Park, which is great news, seeing the SWP goes right through downtown to get to Fairchance.
Also with the Marcellus-Shay , they advised the SWP, that they are upping it to 2,000 cars for 2011. up from 1k in 2010. Here are the articles.
