Cool, this thread has revived itself after 2 years!
Anyway, looking at the Pullman and the Wilmington transfer tables, I can't believe that I missed the giant exposed wheels which run on the transfer pit tracks (rails). The Walthers Transfer table has these, but enclosed in cowling on the topside.
Other transfer tables seem to have smaller wheels which they sit atop (like turn-tables and the small wheels on the outer pit rail), but the Pullman transfer table seems to sit low-slung between the wheels, in a rather shallow pit.
