Hi everyone,
I want to build a live steam Dreyfuss Hudson in 1:20 scale. Does anyone know where I can find drawings and dimensions for this build?
Web sources are great, but books and magazines would be fine too!
Thanks in advance!

Contact the New York Central System Historical Society through their website. You can order drawings on discs from them.

Oh that would be great! I certainly wouldn't mind helping out a historical society in the process!

There were some drawings published in the April 1988 edition of Model Railroader, but I don't know how much they will help you with your live steam build.

Mr. Guillaume forgot to post the link where you can buy the CD-ROM of Hudson drawings:

Hope this helps!

Thanks Otto,
The vintage MR article will be great! I can probably build it right from that. Certainly I have to make some sacrifices in detail accuracy to make it operable.

I emailed the folks at the NYCSHS on the first week of March... still waiting for a reply. I hope they do, I can't wait to see the old drawings! I'm hoping it includes engineering notes about the valve gear.

Hi Otto,
As the site directs, I sent the email out to Tom at [email protected]
I'm thinking this is a volunteer effort, so I don't mind being patient and trying a few different routes to get in touch.

***Update***
As I hoped, Tom has responded and things are in place to get started!
