Hello fellow rail fans ..
Well I was not sure where exactly to post this however being it will be fallen as of tomorrow I figure this may be the appropriate spot to post.. all though every post so far has been on american fallen railroads I dont believe there is any rail fan on this site who has not heard of the Orient express after 126 years of fame it now comes to an sad ending just as the American version was ended years ago ( NOW American O.E. is just a tour train) the European run was truly amazing to last as long as it did. Although for years the train and run has been cut and sliced all over the place, the remaining train carried on the tradition it was bestowed. The once a year orient express tour train will still be run however, but its just not the same IMHO. FAREWELL TO THE ..... ORIENT EXPRESS !

QUOTE: The Orient Express — the very name carries an aura of glamour and mystery. Van Helsing rode it to his battle with Dracula. James Bond romanced a beautiful Russian aboard it. And Agatha Christie set one of the best-known murders in literary history aboard that train.
Now the original Orient Express is itself about to become part of history. On Monday, the route will disappear from European railway timetables, a victim of high-speed trains and cut-rate airlines.
