A 56-year Emmaus woman was struck and killed Saturday morning by a Norfolk Southern train, police said.
Pamela Gaughan was lying on the railroad tracks when an eastbound train, carrying 117 cars, hit her, according to Emmaus police and a Norfolk Southern spokeswoman.
The incident occurred around 6:10 a.m. Saturday, between the Sixth Street crossing and the Fourth Street overpass.
Police are investigating.
