From past experience, more than likely it's an EMD SD40-2, which is my favorite. I believe solid light blue, either that or green with grey.

I have seen two SD40-2s in Beacon Park within the last month. I don't ussually see those but just saying theyve been coming.

I stand corrected, the 3105 is in the grey "ghost" paint.

Typically the only time you'll see a CSXT SD40-2 in Boston area would be on a work train, or more commonly as an "add-on" unit out of Selkirk. An add-on is usually put on run-through trains such as Q264 or Q274 which come into Selkirk with a lead unit which has no cab signals or defective can signals.

Two days ago I saw ex-conrail GP40-2 4431 and SD50 8583 sitting in Beacon Park. I think 4431 is still at beacon park but not sure about 8583.

Most likely those won't be leading units as they don't have cab signals.

Saw a pair of 900's on Q437 passing MP 47.8 Saturday...

I also caught Q437 yesterday (10-4-08). 945 and 946 came out of the North yard, and for some reason took the east leg of the wye to CP 21, then reversed to Nevins to make up their train. The newer ES44AH's are nice, but the horn they have sounds awful.

Thanks....didn't remember the #'s.

Gotta agree on the horns...the engineer blew the horn as he passed...

Yes, I do know about the club....almost everyone does, and most make fun of the place. I myself paid no attention to there when I was running on the B&A.

Our club president is a CSX nut...he literally has hundreds of CSX engines....

Personally, i'm a little before that....Conrail's my thing :-)
