NRE 3GS-21B traction motor

Hello,

does anybody know which technology is in the traction motors of the nre 14/21?
Is it AC or DC?
I think that it should be AC.

DC traction motors. The prime mover output is AC current rectified to DC for the motors. The AC current is used for auxiliary functions.
