So ever since ditching Windows one of the few things I've missed has been railroad simulation games.

Any suggestions or pointers?

It's possible to run Train Dispatcher using WINE; I don't know of anything that runs natively, and I don't expect you'd get particularly good results trying to run MSTS or similar that way. A quick Google search seems to indicate that it's possible to get BVE up and running with emulation, at least for version 2 (not necessarily the newer version 4).
