I keep the Horseshoe Curve Web Cam on my desktop most of the day. For the last couple weeks, it seems like the camera has been attacked by bugs!

Looks like they are inside the camera's enclosure. Are these ticks? Any etomologists out there? They even seem big enough to throw off the auto-focus.

That looks like a lady bug to me. And when we were there this past Sunday no bugs at all...granted it was about 50 degrees with a steady wind.

Asian lady bugs. Harmless except that they stain when you squish them. They were imported to deal with aphids. They're currently looking for warm cracks to hide in over the winter. That means .... inside your house. Easiest to just vacuum them up.

Nothing really out of the ordinary this time of yeear, especially if its mild...I was at the Curve a couple of years ago in late October on a nice day, and the ladybugs were swarming...a hard cold spell and a cold wind should send them away....rain or snowshowers forecasted next week.
