Hi guys,
Not sure if this is the exact right place to ask this, but perhaps someone here can help me out. From June 30th to July 21st, I will be working at a summer camp at the U of Scranton. As I am sure many of you are aware, DL's tracks run parallel to the campus, so I figure I will have great access to the area to get pictures on my downtime.
I already know about the Steamtown excursion trains passing through that area, but I am really interested in the Alcos DL runs and also the occasional CP SD40-2s that come through. My question is this: does anybody know of an approximate schedule when either DL or CP passes through the University area? I pretty much have no clue, in previous years I have been listening for the horns or those distinct Alco engines and racing down, but often too late.
Thanks for your help!
-Kyle
p.s. for anyone interested, here are two of my pics from last year:
