I am trying to figure out what the pre-1936 numberings were on NYC Pacifics and Mikes, specifically, K11's and H6's. I have Stauffer's Steam Power, Early Power, and Later Power books, but when I go to roster listings, it looks like they are all post-1936. Anyone know where or if there is a definitive listing of pre-1936 numberings, or even a conversion listing from pre- to post-36 loco munbers?

K-11a 3000-3049 = 4401-4447 (12 locos)
" 3090-3099 = 4490-4498 (3)
K-11b 3080-3089 = 4483, 4496
" 3100-3119 = 4500-4519 (19)
K-11c 3050-3079 = 4450-4479 (18)
K-11d 3120-3139 = 4520-4539 (18)
K-11e 3140-3169 = 4540-4569 (26)
K-11f 3170-3199 = 4570-4599 (12)

H-6a CCC&StL 6089-6113 = 1700-1724
" T&OC 9732-9746 = 1732-1746
" MC 7970-7989 = 1770-1789
" NYC 5100-5194 = 1800-1894

This came from "Locomotives of the New York Central Lines," by Edward L. May and William D. Edson, self-published by Edson and May in 1966. Now long out of print, obviously, but it does show up for sale.

The NYC System Historical Society has published an exhaustively complete two-volume NYC steam locomotive history, authored by Bill Edson and Lansing Vail, which, among multitudinous other things, gives an engine-by-engine renumbering. Both volumes are currently in print.
