Workers within a couple of hundred feet of Adelphia Rd. Should cross shortly, unless they bag it due to conditions. Wouldn't surprise me, temp dropping and a nasty wind to be working in.

I could be wrong but I think they left part of their train on the siding at route 88.

The rest of the train was left just beyond the 7th street crossing. Picking it up now.

Scratch that, still in Lakewood.

Later in the day I’ll have some info on farmingdale to freehold and the freehold team track posted.

They might reach Gold Lumber by days end!

Incredible how clear Yellowbrook road is, gonna make for awesome shots once trains start rolling!

Pictures will be uploaded later today.

Once they clear Southard Ave. what will be interesting is if they not only curve left to clear the existing track to connect compass northbound on the Southern, but if they also go straight and clear past the JCP&L yard to make a compass southbound connection to the Southern. Monday perhaps.

Can anyone estimate how many carloads of ballast this job will take? Where will we see them first (Brown's yard) ?

Depends where the ballast is coming from.

If its close...contractors typically use hi-rail dump trucks. or if they are laying a lot of ballast before the ties...they will put that down with dump trucks anyway.
