And why would they? This was the MEC line to St. J. MEC discontinued passenger service on the line in '58.

I'm pretty sure they ran them on one of the RRE "Round the mountains" excursions.

CSRR has begun cutting up the 1757

Sad to see it go but we knew this day was coming. I remember reading something a while back that the Conway Scenic, wanted the fuel tank from 1757, to replace the one on 573. Not sure why or what came of it.

I was just wondering IF the problem with CNR # 7470 tender truck has been fixed yet? Or is Conway Scenic waiting until the last minute to fix it????
Next the Mass Bay RRE still has on their website, the annual New Year Day run with # 7470, is this going to take place?????

CSRX has purchased CLP 203 (former MEC 255) from VRS. Unit went east on 263 to Bellows Falls today.

WOW, I don't think anyone saw this coming. Fantastic news and with the 470's acquisition of 72 the Conway Scenic will have quite the setup of motive power.

According to reports, they expect to have the 255 in operation this year

203/255 runs, but apparently not great handling-wise, according to those who have recently operated the unit.

It's in E. Deerfield as of this morning.

Does anyone know if Conway will be painting it in-house or if they're planning to send it somewhere to be painted (e.g. Waterville)?

Would be great if they could send it to Waterville for a paint job, they did such a great job on 252/216. Either way I'm sure it will come out great.
