That property is proposed for major redevelopment -- hundreds of residential units and tens of thousands of square feet of office space. The wood office building has been scrapped (ok, hahaha but true) but other aspects are moving forward.

You literally can walk from Broad St station to Riverfront and besides, that means only people who work northward would commute that way. My speculation is that Broad Street station would become a situation where trains in both directions would pull in, the driver would have to switch sides and move out again. If it is that, there's no reason to keep Riverfront Stadium station. Now if they did that SB only, you could do it since Broad Street station would not be served but Riverfront Stadium station would be.
