If we really wanted to, the U.S. could just expand past the 53rd parallel and make BC, SK , MN, QC, ON, NB and NS states and 3/4ths of Canada's population would be transferred to the U.S. [joke]

If what you say about Alberta eventually comes to fruition, then the Canadian would have to be a cross-border operation like the Niagara Rainbow going across Canada to Detroit.
