For a number of years PCC cars sat in the NFTA carbarn (Ex Lackawanna terminal) in hopes of being used on subway extensions that never happened..then they disappeared to parts unknown.

Sold to a museum interest in Brooklyn that went belly up. They were loaded onto flat bed trucks on Main St in front of the arena, unloaded at the new owner's downstate, & eventually scrapped there. They couldn't be used in Buffalo because they didn't fit on the system with regards to platform height & clearances. The whole affair seemed like a big boondoggle.
