Does anyone know the dress code for the LIRR Engineer Hiring Session? I know its best to dress up but is wearing a suit and tie over doing it? Or is business casual the way to go?

Suit and tie would not be overdoing it. You want to give them the the best impression.

They say, "Dress for the job you want."

So dirty coveralls, boots, and an engineman's cap should do. :-)

When I interviewed for SEPTA, I was the only guy in the room in a suit and a tie and the interviewers even bothered to mentioned it and point out to others that they should be dressed thusly in the future, so yeah, go with a nice suit.

its hard to overdress for an interview, but if you underdress you won't get another chance.
