Hey. I have a question about these roles on Amtrak. Does the Assistant Conductor go to the Conductor to handle passenger issues, or are the ACs expected to handle these issues? I've heard the ACs work with the public more than the Conductor does. Thanks.

I would say that all depends on the issue itself and the conductor you are working with, not every conductor runs the ship the same way.

Think of the conductor as the executive chef and the assistants are his sous chefs in the kitchen brigade.
