I visit Callicoon about once a month and can report that one of Jim (a/k/a Seamus) Wilson's new ventures shows some signs of life in Callicoon. He has started up the Callicoon Brewing Co and opened a pub in the old Callicoon firehouse. It is located right across the street from the forlorn and forgotten Olympia Hotel and just across the tracks from the depot. On the second floor he maintains the office of the NY & Greenwood Lake RY. As of a couple of weeks ago, when i visited the pub, he had not yet received his permit to begin on-site brewing. His beer is being brewed by another brewery until the license is secured. They have a nice mix of beers on tap, including some other local (Roscoe NY) brews. I understand that he spends a lot of time at the pub and on my next visit I hope to be able to finally meet him and have a chat. If he goes "on the record" I'll let y'all know what he has to say. I have a few pictures here:

Otto, the depot is in great shape and is used by the Susie Q. It was recently repainted by some kids from the local high school.
