Can anyone suggest a good online store, where I can buy a switching lamp, instead of the crap I bought from my lovely employer, at an inflated price? Are L.E.D lights the "in things" now?

The white ones are much brighter and eat up battery life accordingly but as we say on the RR, I ain't buyin' the batteries! They are the flange type bulbs. The standard bulbs suck considerably compared to the new ones - I just hope they don't eat my battery up to quickly. As I said, I'm too lazy to carry a spare.
OT, I can't imagine trying to describe a job in the employment forum without pay specifics!I guess I didn't understand that the mod there was just a kid w/no railroad experience. I probably would have cut him a little slack. I'm a big meenie.

Hey...I bought some halogen bulbs from one of the marts for ABOUT $1.34..works great in my lantern - much brighter than the standard bulb. I wondering how much faster it will eat the battery though? Anybody know?
I do have an extra battery and a batter charger, but they are both too heavy to carry around. I'm just to lazy to carry all that stuff.
