M427 was onto the B&A at 20:11 with 488/835/5271 and 159 cars. It took them 54 minutes between appearing and disappearing from the cam after a lengthy stop.

M426 was through Springfield Union Station at 19:59 with 486/5276/703/GMTX 318 and 117 cars. 318 is bound for the NHCR.

M427 was onto the B&A at 16:40 with 467/413/7563 and 148 cars. As of my writing, they're crawling into W. Springfield yard following after a local.

M426 was through Springfield Union Station at 18:23 with 484/3249/3214 and 97 cars. For some reason it took them 90+ minutes to get the 10 or so miles there from Westfield Bridges, although they did meet the tail end of the westbound Springfield-Palmer? local. They made the turn north off the B&A at 21:07.

At 20:20 M427 CSXT 484 received Form D from D1 WOR 1 to Burncoat, live re-crew at Still River. I don't remember the exact car count numbers in the train report but it was over 125.

My mind continues to be blown by the size of the trains CSX is bringing onto and off of the former Pan Am property.

And I'm sure if their CEO were on here, he'd tell us "We're just getting started!"

Very nice to see that so many of the rail lines in northern New England are now in the hands of operators with the capital, will and expertise to take good care of them and run them "well".

Keep in mind a good chunk of that tonnage has come at the expense of the PAS gateways.

I was thinking about that this morning. Before CSX, we had POED and EDPO in addition to POSE and SEPO. Now most (all?) of the traffic that would've been handled by POED/EDPO is handled by POSE/SEPO, so naturally the trains are longer.

But is the increase entirely at the expense of the Fitchburg? Seems like a big chunk of Irving business was taken from cp/cn. At least some that lumber and paper etc moving from keag seems to me to be net increase

Of course it's not all due to PAS' loss my comment was merely pointing out the Fitch went from a daily Deerfield to Portland job to an every other day? handul of cars. That traffic that CSX now has the long haul on is not organic growth.

Agree that the Fitchburg has lost substantial bridge traffic
