I was wondering when Conrail was gonna put that track in. It will allow inbound trains coming off the Port Reading Secondary to go straight to an oil refinery just south of Port Reading. The outbound trains typically park underneath the off ramps for Exit 12 on I-95, close to apartments and houses. They do this to turn around and take the Secondary back west before rejoining the main line in Bound Brook. I assume they'll start leaving the power at Motiva like they used to or park it in the back of Port Reading, away from the development. Hopefully they do the former, can't film the power if it's parked at Port Reading. Not all trains will do this though, since some trains also go up to Tremleys Point and park there.

Speaking of Port Reading there's a whole bunch of foreign power up there at the moment, including the NS Savanah and Atlanta heritage unit. Apparently NS brought up like 4-5 separate 6K4s in the past 3 days or so. Will try to get pictures tomorrow.

This alone won't change anything.

Does Conrail still run to Cutters siding on the North Jersey Coast Line?
