[When I first visited the Petite Ceinture — or ‘Little Belt’ — as it’s referred to in French, I was surprised by how much had been preserved. While the tunnels are off-limits, the tracks themselves are very much untouched. You can walk along the tracks — or indeed on them — without any risk of getting run over. The council also seems to have also made the tracks accessible to the public by adding walkways for easier mobility.
