509 and 510 have been sold to LTEX along with a long list of CSX units. CSX is dumping 13 road slugs, 15 or so MP15AC's, and 15 or so MP15T's. Which correct me if I am wrong, but I think that is the remainder of CSX's MP15T fleet, which likely includes the MP15T's at Waterville. Also included in the sale are all remaining GP60's, The last 4 SD60M's, a genset, 1 SW1500, and 7 yard slugs.

B&M 326 and 330 went west last night out of Waterville, my guess is to a new owner. Both were withdrawn from service last year with condemned draft gear. 330 was repaired/reactivated at Waterville in preparation for use on B&E but was replaced by 350, since it couldn't be moved without a draft gear replacement. 326 ran when parked and I was told only had the turbo pulled. They must have repaired/replaced the draft gear in order to move them, no idea where or who they are going to, and none of my contacts which usually know about this type of stuff have a clue on what the deal is with them either.
I haven't seen it mentioned elsewhere but 307 and 316 were placed back into service this month. 383 which had its fuel tank ruptured at Mattawamkeag is out of service, not sure if CSX will fix it or not. I had heard prior to the incident that it was one of the better geeps they had, so who knows.

In a typical CSX move, they are heading to Huntington for scrap.
Which is funny after how much time and money they put into getting them running and in decent shape, just for them not to go to B&E because a draft gear replacement was going to cost too much. But apparently it was worth repairing them, in order for them to meet a date with the torch. In reality they probably could have sold them off and made more money.

Sometimes it's best to take tidbits of info that is spoon fed with a grain of salt. It often lacks the whole story.

This doesn't make sense. A locomotive can be scrapped almost anywhere, and that definitely includes Waterville. They don't have to send locomotives from Maine all the way to West Virginia just to be ripped apart, unless there's something else going on that we don't know about. Is it possible, for example, that they're going to Huntington to be rebuilt?

For the record, I'm not saying it's impossible that CSX could make a weird or counterintuitive decision; it just seems very strange, which I think we can all agree on.

If they are going there, it's probably for storage. Sending them there for scrap doesn't make sense. They already have several units being prepared for scrap at Waterville, with the components being removed so they can be remanufactured. Why go through the hassle of fixing them up to ship them somewhere else, when that work is being done at Waterville?

Worthwhile noting that Huntington is home to CSX/CPKC's hydrogen-fueled locomotive conversion program.

If they've been entrusted to transmit tractive effort to the rest of 427, then it might seem ant drawbar issues are past tense,

Sounds like MEC 351 & 353 are going away too.. sighted on a recent M427 westbound, perhaps going to wherever B&M 326 & 330 are going..

LTEX GP40-2 3011 was spotted at Rigby a few days ago. This unit was rebuilt from the remains of MEC 309 a few years ago at Waterville and has been on the Mass Coastal since.

Thought it looked familiar. It showed up at Worcester, was on the yard job, then made a round trip to Selkirk and back.
