I was looking on rrpicturearchives.net and I noticed the unusal logo on its nose. http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPi ... x?id=36131 The font looks the same as the font on the back of this SW1500. http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=35090 What is up with that?
Have I gone crazy or is the CSX logo on this SD60I a bit cock eyed?

Yeh the nose of CSX 8730 seems to have been stenciled incorrectly...it's a strange variant wandering the CSX system.

As for 8748...I think that the skewed nose logo owes to what seems like a quickie repair job. I've seen this unit several times in the Philly area. Here's a shot of the damage on the conductor's side.

the crooked CSX logo is perfectly consistent with how things are done at CSX these days

Looks like 8748, Ex-Conrail, got into a fight with something and the trainer had to intervene. Not only that, the font size one the nose of 8730 is considerably smaller than her sister's behind her.
