NYS Turntables

I've been compiling turntables for several years and have just finished going through most of the Sanborn maps for NYS. This list is compiled from my own data, data previously posted on this site, many map resources, emails to "experts" on various railroads, and Michael Kudish's books.

As I get a railroad done, I'll post it here. These locations have been confirmed. A few still have no latitude/longitude as I was unable to get a good read on exactly where they were. One example of that is Ashford Jct on the BR&P. This TT pre-dated the East Salamanca shops. It's just not on maps but it is known to have existed.

Didn't there use to be a TT-RH at the southern end of LaSalle Park along the Niagara River? It was next to the ramp that is still there across from Erie Basin Marina. Its been a while but I saw an aerial picture of it. I even walked the area looking for any remains of it. After seeing this new posting, I looked at the Erie County 1920 and 1951 aerials......nothing.

Ambitious project. Three leapt to mind immediately - two of which you've listed. The third is (was) the turntable (only I presume) on the West Shore at Genesee Junction. Sodus Point (top photo), Croghan (bottom photo)

The third TT you listed for O&W at Middletown was not an O&W TT. It was Middletown & New Jersey (nee Middletown & Unionville) and had an enginehouse. It was used by Erie commuter power and power leased by M&NJ (from O&W & NYS&W) when theirs was unavailable.
