I don't claim to see everything that goes by, so there may have been others. Most mornings you can expect to see a freight consist of 2-10 cars go through Hicksville E/B between 9am and noon.

Seems the 30 goes where it's needed that day. For the last few weeks it seemed that it would go up the Pt. Jeff branch on Monday and Thursday. This week it came out to Huntington on Wed. They go to points east of Babylon via Main line at Hicksville and then onto the central branch. Anyone know if they work the mainline east of Hicksville? Good Luck.

ok. i know i have seen them on south shore on a tuesday and a friday once or twice in the last month. but i am not in 'hunt' mode when i am stuck at work. thank you all for the contributions.

ok... my day was similar, Smithtown at 1030am, 270/271 with two boxcars, never to return... apparently still trying to reach Wading River Depot. Then, after coming home for a break, Deer Park at 8:50pm, 155/151 with the 32. better ending to the day than the beginning. See ya'll Tuesday.

This morning, on the Montauk Cut-off in L.I.C., two SW-1001's with a cut of cars, I guess for the team yard. This was at about 0940 or so. I was passing by in the first car of a Penn-bound m.u.

Last week I thought I glimpsed a black tank car in the team yard while passing by w/b on the L.I.E. I say glimpsed because that's all I got, on account of the new shop building next to the team yard that now blocks the view from the L.I.E. Is there an off-line customer who now gets tankcars at the team yard, or was this car just left there for now reason?

Well ya see this guy Saddam asked us to keep that tank car there about a year ago....Actually its calcium chlorate (not boom-boom material but ice melt) I believe its for a company called velvettop.

Well, gotta report that RS-100 came down the Bay Ridge branch two nights in a row (last night and tonight). As a matter of fact the guys woke me up cuz their return trip occurred at 3 a.m. this morning!!!

Now at about 10 mintues ago a frieght westbound (to the floats) passed by near Vanderveer, but I couldn't make out the consist as their was little to no light to discern the equipemnt.

On Wed 4/7, i heard the PD operator calling NYA on the radio, but couldn't hear them. I tried finding them east, but i never did. We did video the rail inspection car in eastport, but no NYA today

On Tues 4/6, NYA 271/270 were found WB at Calverton, I videoed them switch into the side to scoop up the scrap cars, and await the LIRR revenue units to pass. then the GPs split WB. Nice day out there. If any of the posters were on the train, i am in the green van
