I could just see that E44 running long hood forward, at track speed across the Meadows with eleven (11) of these NJCL heritage coaches.

there were a string of E44's at Wilmington that were scrapped by Naporano many moons ago. Some of the units were painted black and silver.

Wow...thats the first photo I've ever seen of an E44 attached to a coach. It'd be great to see a real "trainset" with one of these. I wonder if there are any photos like that out there. Great job Transit383!
This is really excellent...!

Just touching back on a post I last updated eight years ago ....
Is the last E44 sitting out at Strasburg? The 4465? Any others anywhere at all or are they all gone? Is this the last extant E44?

(for some reason one of the other more recent threads about the ALP44's made me think of this...)

4465 is the last one ANYWHERE.

All the others were scrapped on-site at the Wilmington Shops in the 90's. I've got pictures somewhere. They looked brand new at the time. Quite the shame.

Source please, sir. Where was it hiding?

I'm pretty sure I saw them all together in Wilmington in the 90's waiting for their appointment with the torch.

Where was 4462 and why was it scrapped just 3 years ago?
