Would anyone happen to know how accessible Newfield Jct is these days? I look at it on google earth and other sat sites and I am amazed how obvious it still is from the air. I always had an interest in the B&S but never made it to Newfield before the rails were removed.

I would like to hike in there but I don't want to trespass...

I was there a week ago.

The C&PA grade down to Bean Cut/Gold is fenced off.

The Junction itself is open.

I've always just gone in and hiked around.

We have walked around there many times. I would go there very soon because the tall grass obscures almost everything. There is no evidence of any structure remaining on the site but the r-o-w can be seen easily. If you know where to look the C&PA grade to Ulysses can be followed pretty much right into Ulysses. HTG
