New Haven Line Devon Transfer Station to Waterbury

They are studying adding passing sidings; not sure when work will start. Branch must also have signals added.

Now that the work is done on track 3 on the bridge (I'm having a senior moment as to what the railroad parlance is for the bridge, i.e. the short name), what is next? Are the moving to track 1?

There are plans for a passing siding between Derby and Ansonia. You can see they installed a switch by Division Street.

As of yesterday, 1/15, the station was there. When will it be removed?

who knows ?? emergency platform in Beacon lasted 25 years.
part of station is gone as it sat on top of track 3 because of bridge work.

On the Waterbury Branch:

The Devon Transfer returns to service to accommodate needed repairs on the Devon movable bridge. The following changes will be in effect through October:

• All Waterbury Branch customers who usually transfer to main line trains at Bridgeport will instead get off at the new Devon Transfer location.

• Waterbury Branch customers who travel to New Haven will transfer again at Bridgeport for a main line train connection to New Haven.

• Northbound customers will be dropped off main line trains at the Devon Transfer and board a waiting train for Waterbury.

Well I guess that's why they left the signs and lights up then...

On the more info tab on that page, they need to fix the date, it says 3/14/15
