As of the morning of 9/1/2022, the 514 was still sitting on the interchange track in Manville, waiting patiently to be picked up to begin the trip home.

Any reasons why these are taking so long to be rebuilt?

514 was damaged by CSX and was sent to Delaware Car for repairs before it comes back to MBTA. Costs are being covered by CSX

MBTA 525 and 529 are heading home. Of interest though, is that these cars are originating in Delaware and not New Jersey. A few years ago, these 2 cars were trucked out of NJ to Delaware to get some for extensive work. However, before they were trucked out, NJ completed the rebuild part so now that they are done in Delaware, they can come right home.
Additionally, these are the last 2 BTC MBBs to be rebuilt.

Now I wonder what the grand total is for rebuilt MBBs in terms of fleet numbers (and in regards to the entire active fleet). Especially now that there are gaps in the cab car series due to ten of them coming back as BTCs 533-542.

514 made it home! Missed the extra by about 10 mins in framingham earlier this afternoon.
514 is at BET on a storage track.

Looks like CSX freight M436 that passed Westfield live cam at 0035 Wednesday 12/7/22 had a pair of MBB coaches on the marker.
