My new venture, Steel Road Excursions, is operating its first private rail trip in June 2020. We'll be taking the Kitchi Gammi Club and Pacific Home from New York to New Orleans, with all on-board meals derived from original recipes from the SOU, ACL, and SP. The trip also includes overnight lodging at a hotel in New Orleans for six nights, plus a goodie bag of other pre-paid stuff (including more food!).

Mr. Garbely/Ms. Hoffman. First allow me to perfect the link to your site:

May I suggest establishing a dress code for your excursion; in communal areas jackets and pant suits or dresses. This would enhance the experience of your proposed excursion. No railfan gear (T-shirts, Engineer hats, Conductor's uniforms, whatever) and God forbid, Tank Tops and Flip Flops.

I have seen photos of "Hickory Creek" (ex NYC Century) and a closer look shows excursion passengers dressed in such attire. Another example is photos of ex-SAL "--Beach" Sleeper Lounge with passengers attired same. You simply wouldn't see any such when those cars were in railroad revenue service, for I've "been there done that" in this life.

So happy Thanx; and good luck with your venture.
