Was stopped around 5:30p on Rochelle Ave. by a lonnnnnnnnnnnng freight going West(North). Had 3 CSX and 2 Suskie locos and I lost count at about 80 cars, had to be over 100 cars total.

Isn't this an unusual time of day for a train at that location?

It was one of the CSX reroutes, probably CSX symbol Q404, a Newark to Buffalo mixed freight that formerly ran the River line. they are currently running a few reroutes over their lines between NJ/Binghamton/Syracuse. Asually it has been Q156 and/or Q162 eastbound(both are stack/container trains), and Q404 westbound. they have been combining the freight that moves on SU-100/99 into these trains as well as NYSW power. Look for more of this activity in the coming weeks as well....

This looks to be like the norm for sometime. These trains are over 100 cars lately. I believe one several weeks ago had over 180 :-)
