Hey all. I am familiar with the LIRR training schedule for ENGR. 3 months on your own time, 12 months in class and assigned to jobs. How is the training schedule laid out for Metro North Engrs? Also the LIRR has terminals that are located at most last stop locations. Is this the same with MN and if so are you assigned to these terminals during training. Thanks in advance for any input. Any information will be a big help.

I didn't mention anything about volunteer.

Not in those words but you did state that with LIRR you're in for three months on your own time meaning you don't get paid. From what I've read on the job advertisements this sounds accurate.

With Metro North you're paid from day 1.

I really do admire "railroad sarcasm". Perfect choice of words there, Truck 6018.
