I should mention that we have the first Kodak Park diesel preserved in operating condition at the Rochester & Genesee Valley Railroad Museum:

http://rgvrrm.org/about/railroad/ek6

We also roster EK 9, an Alco RS-1:

8, 10 and 3 are still in the park..
I think 3 and 8 are the primary power..
havent seen #10 in awhile..could be stored.

These have been the three in use for the last 15 years..

the GP7 #4 is LONG gone..
dont know when it left, but it wasnt here in 1995 when I started working next to the KPRR mainline..

EK4 was scrapped on-site 15-20 years ago. Its trucks were, I believe, eventually placed under EK10, and I believe are still with that unit.

you know..now that I think about it..
im not sure if I have ever seen number 10!

It seems I would remember a big MP15 with GP trucks..
I dont recall ever actually seeing it in the 15 years I have worked at KP..

I think I have always assumed that 3,8, and 10 are all there, because thats what the internet rosters say..
but now im not so sure..
im positive about #3 and #8..they are always around.
(#3 is now black with flames, and #8 is yellow with flames)
but im not sure if #10 is actually there..

anyone see #10 within the last few years?

I should say, the first diesel purchased new by Kodak.

Kodak #3:
Image

The day I was there (about 3 years ago) I kept seeing #8 as well, but it was moving around and I couldn't get a good shot of it before it would disappear behind something.

If Kodak #10 is the more "traditionally painted" white engine with yellow and black trim, I have seen it recently too in the past couple of years. The automotive garage around the corner from Kodak works on my car now and then, and if you talk to the owner Dave about the engines he can tell you a bit more about them. Apparently, he is friends with the gentleman who painted them.

I just spotted EK No. 10!
She was sitting by the R&S interchange, in the yard west of the Ridge Road Crossing,
earlier this morning..(did she leave town for awhile? I dont know)

But now she is tucked back into the enginehouse..
along with sisters 3 and 8..

So I can confirm 3, 8 and 10 are all still with the KPRR..

(I still have never actually seen Number 10 operating!
she was placed into the engine house by number 8 today..I dont think No. 10 was actually running at the time.)

EK 8 has left Kodak Park.
She is sitting in the Brooks Ave yard in Rochester, March 7, 2019, freshly painted as SSRX 8.
(thanks to my wife Deb for the railfan spotting!)

Photos from a few months ago:

Most likely painted at AMP in Dansville.
