Kansas City at Engineering Phase of Reintroducing Streetcars

Kansas City once had a healthy streetcar system. It was ripped up in the late 50s/early 60s.

A few years ago, the first increment, from Union Station to the Missouri River, was installed.

Now, engineering will start to restore the line down south of country club plaza.

Kansas? Wyandotte County, maybe.

Johnson County was farmland into the 70s. There’s also the small matter of a lack of political will in Kansas.
