Jobs for Technical Engineer

Hello All:

I'm a new member of the railroad forum, just signed up a few mintues ago. - I'm currently working in the television broadcast engineering business, but a friend told me I should look into the railroad industry for something similar. What kinds of careers would the railroad industry offer? My background is mainly right now in computers, and technology kinds of things, maintenance and support services.
