That picture of 2000 is the first time I've seen a lone geep out on the passenger main - I think I've only ever seen them in 2+ unit lashups, either for power, speed, or protection on single track in event of a failure. I always enjoy the 4pm-ish light move west because they really cook down the single track to get out of the way.

Duuuuuuuuuuude... bring out the NYSW M636's!!! They aren't working too good at NYSW, and the genius department can handle anything. How crazy woud that be, Alcos on CSS. They would kick some respect into the coal trains and let the 38's take on more suitable chores, IE locals, switch jobs, and workin Burnham or Kingsbury. However, I move we go back to the pre-1948 freight scheme, where the body is traction orange and the top 10% and roof are maroon - no chance the bright orange tops will remain bright with Alco smoke.
