Increased Metra Security

Granted I'm only on occasional rider (2-3 times a month) so maybe this isn't out of the ordinary for large events such as the Taste of Chicago, but I noticed a significant increase in security both on the train and at Union Station last night. Not only were there more uniformed Metra police than I'm used to seeing but also what I'm presuming are off-duty cops in yellow "security" shirts.

So is this a normal thing or a repsone to intel?

It's normal for big events like the Taste of Chicago or the Auto Show. Nothing to worry about here...
